With a Score of 89.77, Phu Quoc Island (Kien Giang) Ranks 6th Among the Top 10 Favorite Islands in Asia

CNTraveler highlights that Phu Quoc is divided into two main areas: the northern and southern parts of the island, with Duong Dong serving as the central hub. Phu Quoc is one of the most popular destinations for both domestic and international tourists, thanks to its diverse tourism offerings, abundant marine resources, and numerous famous amusement parks.

Not only is Phu Quoc the largest island in Vietnam, but it is also renowned for its pristine white sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and untouched, picturesque landscapes. Visitors to Phu Quoc can explore Rach Vem Beach, Bai Dai Beach, Hon Mot Islet, or visit sites such as Dinh Cau, Phu Quoc National Park, and Ham Ninh Fishing Village. Another reason this beautiful island is particularly beloved is its cuisine, with a special focus on fresh seafood.

In addition to Phu Quoc, the other 9 islands honored in the top 10 favorite islands in Asia as voted by CNTraveler readers include: Boracay, Sri Lanka, Palawan (Philippines), Bali (Indonesia), Koh Samui (Thailand), Langkawi (Malaysia), Phuket (Thailand), Okinawa & Ryuku Islands (Japan), and Phi Phi Islands (Thailand).

The 35th Readers' Choice Awards also recognized the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort (Da Nang) as the 24th best resort in the world.

The Readers' Choice Awards is an annual award by CNTraveler magazine, based on independent evaluations by global travelers to honor the world's top destinations. This year, the event received nearly 250,000 votes.

Phu Quoc is currently regarded as a paradise for both domestic and international tourists. The island is also proud of its pristine forests and untouched beaches stretching over 150 km.

Topping this year's list is Boracay Island (Philippines), with a score of approximately 95 points. Another island in the Philippines, Palawan, also made the top 10, ranking 8th.

Thailand had the most entries on the list, with three islands represented: Koh Samui, Phuket, and Phi Phi, ranked 3rd, 5th, and 10th, respectively.

Among the most popular countries in 2022, Thailand ranked third and Japan second in Asia. Spain emerged as the most popular country on the list.

In 2020, CNTraveler readers voted Vietnam as one of the 20 most popular destinations in the world.
